Service Description
Hydrate with precision. Perform better in the heat. Sweat Testing measures how much sodium you lose in sweat, allowing you to build a personalised hydration and electrolyte strategy for training and racing , not guess. What it involves • 30–45 minutes seated and comfortable • Small forearm area gently stimulated to sweat • No needles, no exercise, no discomfort • Laboratory-grade analysis of a small sweat sample What you’ll learn • Your sweat sodium concentration (mg/L) • Exactly how strong your drinks and electrolytes should be • A clear fuel and hydration plan for your next key event • How to reduce cramp, bloating, gut upset and excessive thirst Best for • Athletes who struggle in heat or fade late in races • Frequent cramp, bloating or hydration issues • Anyone chasing marginal gains through smarter hydration Can be booked as a one-off test or added to any coaching package. Cancellation Policy
By signing up for a Smarter Fitness training plan, you agree to the following: 1. Eligibility & Health • You must be 18+ or have written guardian consent. • You agree to give accurate health, injury, and medication information. • Our services are coaching and education, not medical, physiotherapy, or mental health treatment. • You must seek medical advice if unsure whether exercise is safe for you. 2. Your Responsibilities • Train sensibly, use your judgement, and stop if you feel unwell, in pain, or unsafe. • Use suitable, well-maintained equipment and a safe environment. • Tell us promptly about new injuries, illness, medication changes, pregnancy, or surgery. 3. What You Get • A training plan matched to your package (e.g. Foundation vs higher-support coaching). • Delivery mainly online (e.g. TrainingPeaks, email, calls). • Plan changes during the term are only included where your package states this. 4. Fees, Cancellations & Refunds • Prices are in NZD and usually include GST. • Payment may be up-front or recurring, with any minimum term stated at purchase. • Missed or late payments may lead to suspension of services. • Fixed-term plans are generally non-refundable once started, except as required by NZ consumer law. • Ongoing coaching can usually be cancelled with notice; future payments after the notice period stop. • Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows: 24hrs notice is required for full refund of tests, provided in written notice (e.g. email). 5. Risk & Liability • Exercise has inherent risks (e.g. strain, falls, rare serious events). You accept these risks as far as the law allows. • We are not responsible for injuries or losses arising from not following medical advice, not providing full information, or training beyond what is recommended. • Your legal rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986 still apply. 6. Privacy & Data • We collect and use your personal and health information to provide and improve coaching. • Information is handled under the Privacy Act 2020 and our Privacy Policy. • You can request access to, and correction of, your information. 7. Intellectual Property • All plans and materials remain the property of Smarter Fitness. • You may use them only for your personal training and must not copy, resell, or share them as your own. 8. Governing Law • These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and any disputes will be dealt with in New Zealand.
